Secondary School:
You must currently be in your final year of secondary school or in your first year of Cégep and have not yet attended a post-secondary institution. If you’ve graduated from secondary school within the last three years, you’re still eligible - so long as you meet the additional requirements below.
Residency or Citizenship:
You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
Academic Admission Requirements:
You must have a minimum cumulative 90% academic average in your last completed year of high school.
If you currently attend school outside of Canada, your transcripts will be reviewed using an equivalency framework based on a 90% average.
Age Requirements:
Upon entry to first year university, you must be between 17 and 22 years old; born between September 1 2007 and September 1, 2010.
Application to University of Toronto:
You must apply to the Faculty of Arts & Science at the St. George campus through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) by the early admission deadline. You must also submit any required program or College supplementals by the early deadline as well.

Prospective Wolf Scholars are required to apply to the Faculty of Arts & Science through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) by the early admission deadline. You must also submit any required program or College supplementals by the early deadline as well.
As a Wolf Scholar, you will have the flexibility to take courses throughout the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Arts & Science. Prospective applicants may apply to the following Admission Categories to be considered eligible for the Wolf Scholars program.
Note that applicants who accept offers from Rotman Commerce, Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education, Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Music are not eligible for the Wolf Scholars program.
Candidates will submit an online application to become a Wolf Scholar. For the 2027 entry cycle, applications will open September 2026.
Semi-finalists will be invited to participate in an online interview in January.
Finalists will attend Wolf Selection Weekend held at the University of Toronto in late February. Travel and accommodation are covered by the Program.
Up to 16 exceptional students will be selected as Wolf Scholars in March, and will join the experience of a lifetime!

Program InformationYes. Prospective students must apply separately to the University of Toronto's Faculty of Arts & Science to be eligible for the Wolf Scholars Process. You must also submit any required supplemental applications for your chosen college and program by their respective early deadlines. Selected Wolf Scholars will receive a conditional acceptance, pending their acceptance to the University of Toronto in early 2027.
Yes. If you are interested in a range of subjects but are thinking about career security, Wolf Scholars can be a strong fit. Through internships, mentorship, and training in business analytics and essential professional skills, the program equips Scholars to pursue great careers in any industry with confidence.
The Wolf Scholars Program is only available to University of Toronto students.
As a Wolf Scholar, you can pursue any major in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto except for Rotman Commerce. Some majors require application in the first year and admission is not guaranteed.
