Strategic Selections & Enrolment Manager

The Strategic Selections & Enrolment Manager will play a key role in establishing and growing the Wolf Scholars Program by leading the design and execution of the application and selection process, and Scholar enrolment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a transparent, equitable, and structured selections process, ensuring clear guidelines, timelines, and evaluation criteria

- Lead the selection process by coordinating reviewers, interviewers, and selection panels, ensuring evaluations are fair and the cohort is reflective of the program’s mission and vision

- Build relationships with high school guidance counselors, university advisors, and experiential learning leaders to expand the program’s reach and ensure a strong applicant pool

- Lead in-person and virtual information sessions for prospective students, parents, and educators. Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries, ensuring a welcoming and informative admissions experience

- Track and analyze application trends, outreach effectiveness, and demographic insights to continuously improve recruitment strategies and selection outcomes

- Represent Wolf Scholars at education fairs, conferences, and networking events to elevate awareness and attract high-potential applicants

- Gather feedback from applicants, advisors, and selection committees to refine the admissions journey, ensuring accessibility, efficiency, and alignment with the Foundation’s mission

- Assist admitted Scholars in navigating the enrolment process, working closely with the University of Toronto’s registrar and relevant departments to ensure a smooth transition

 

Qualifications

The Strategic Selections & Enrolment Manager should hold a degree from an accredited four-year university or college, preferably with a focus on business or the social sciences. Ideal candidates will exemplify the qualities the Program seeks to instill in its Scholars: curiosity, humility, collaboration, optimism, excellence, and a drive for impact.

Experience

- 4+ years of experience in fast-paced environments; experience in consulting, education or program management is an asset

- Experience coordinating remote teams to achieve program objectives

- Experience managing outreach and programming for high potential and achieving secondary school or university students is an asset

- Exceptional reliability, attention to detail, and adaptability in high-pressure situations, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently

- Exceptional emotional intelligence

- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to break down processes into component parts, derive insights from large datasets and identify key trends

- Exceptional integrity and accountability; ability to exercise discretion on confidential matters and communicate with tact and diplomacy

- Familiarity with CRM / applicant tracking software like Slate or AwardForce (preferred)

 

Additional Employment Details

- Reports to: Executive Director, Margot Ghersin

- Working: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada, with some travel required

- Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 plus bonus; flexible based on experience

- Ideal Start Date: April / May 2024

- Eligibility: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
